The Dystopian Dream…

Dystopia is not an accident. It is not the result of some unseen cosmic force or an unavoidable fate. It is built—piece by piece, brick by brick—through silence, inaction, and the slow erosion of resistance.

We craft our dystopias in the spaces where indifference thrives. In the rusted skeletons of abandoned factories, in the cracked concrete of forgotten streets, in the quiet hum of surveillance systems watching without judgment. The air hangs heavy with the scent of decay, the echoes of voices long silenced whispering through hollow corridors.

This is not the future we feared—it is the one we allowed.

Dystopia is an architecture of compliance, where neglect replaces action and convenience outweighs consequence. It is shaped by those who look away, by those who believe that silence is neutral, by those who whisper, “This is not my concern.” But every unchecked moment of apathy is a foundation stone in a monument to what could have been—a lost future buried beneath our refusal to act.

In these days as the world cycles into dystopia, art can be a release. Luckily I did not elect to draw or paint any of the images you will see here. Rather I elected to use my desire to be artistic to try my hand at AI art.

These images are not just scenes of collapse. They are mirrors. They reflect not only the weight of what has been lost but the choices that brought us here. Look closely, and you may recognize the landscape.

I know, you probably don’t like AI art. I’ve heard many complain about how AI steals their art business. But you can trust me on this, the images here presented are MUCH better than any I would be able to create. And sadly, I don’t have the spare money to spend on hiring this work out.

Anyway, here is my little gallery of dystopian images, drawn by ChatGPT with my help, guidance and ideas. Oh and ChatGPT has a lot of anti-hate & violence rules, I understand a few of them now.
